Historical fiction (never knew I would like this)
Graphic, shocking, saddening.
Eye opening, realistic.
Gut wrenching, heart breaking.
Hard to put down with characters you don't always like but truly understand.
Unpredictable.
Disgusting. Sickening.
Painful reminder at times of my humanness.
God's power.
Uncomfortable.
Left me with more questions than answers. Did things really happen like that? Was it really that bad? Why would God allow it? How could people go so wrong?
Nothing is impossible with God.
God saves us from ourselves but not from the consequences of our choices.
A world that doesn't know God cannot stand. Period.
Read it, you won't be sorry. Just be sure you have the second one in hand ready to go. If not you may be heading to Books a Million late at night to purchase it. My dear friend Liz, gave me all three in the series saying, "You won't be able to stop at the first, and you'll want to begin reading the second, immediately". She was right. In fact, I've already finished it too. Review coming soon!

I loved this book!!!! I'm also glad you liked the 100 word reviews I've been trying to do. It's a lot easier to say a lot in a lot of words than it is to say a lot in a few words. You succeeded on the first try. I plan on reading the other two Mark of the Lion books next spring or summer or whenever I finish grad school. Love and miss you!
