Most everyone who knows me, knows that I don't make New Year's Resolutions. But I do love the feeling of a clean slate. Proverbial as it may be, it's just a good feeling to know that you have a whole year of do-overs! The rebel I am won't allow me to call them resolutions, so here is my list of things I want to do more of, accomplish, or include in my life in 2011 (in no particular order)!
- Spend more time with girlfriends. I hardly ever do this but it feels good when I do.
- Get back into the gym and train for a half marathon in October. Yes, it will take me that long (I hate to run).
- Stop complaining. I don't do too much of this but I really want to omit this from my life altogether.
- Make a daily effort to pay it forward by practicing random acts of kindness and never pass up a chance to encourage someone.
- Save money for our family trip to Denver CO.
- Redo my foyer (already started :)).
- Have at least 52 blog posts for the year.
- Read more - beginning with the Bible and following with other pieces of positive literature (books, magazines, etc).
- Act silly more often.
- Live with more reckless abandon and faith. Make fewer lists, stress less about little expenses, paint furniture even if it doesn't look like you'd hoped, and give away stuff at a rate only God can keep up with ;).
