New Years Non Resolutions

The rebel in me just won't allow me to call them Resolutions. I looked back on my first post of 2011, and it was titled almost exactly the same thing :). But here's to new beginnings. I am pleased to say that I did accomplish most everything on my to be and to do list for 2011. I only fell off the wagon a few times and I'm ok with that.

On the plus side...
I ran my first half marathon with my love in March, almost lost my knee but best experience ever!
Completed a few 5Ks including one for AGAPE, a great cause.
I practiced random acts of kindness, complained less, and encouraged others.
Redid my foyer, painted furniture, saved for CO trip and had a wonderful family vacation with dear friends.

In other news...
I turned 40 and had my first mammogram.
Figured out the 40 things I've learned in my 40 years of living!
I had some unexpected surgeries, scary news that turned out to be ok.

Not sure what I want my 2012 to look like. I see more reckless abandon in my future...more dancing like nobody is watching, singing like nobody is listening, and loving freely and completely. Drinking up every day and what it has to offer. Continuing to spend time with those who build me up and refusing to waste time or thought on those who poison with hurt or bitterness. Inspiring others to be their best self, and having a strong ROI on my every encounter.

I have several personal goals or projects to work on and keep me busier...
  1. Launch a freelance marketing business.
  2. Work on personal branding.
  3. Homeschool my oldest son. (this was completely his idea and so we agreed to try it)
  4. Run another half marathon.
  5. Dedicate time, effort, and money to causes near to my heart.
  6. Have a wonderful 20 yr anniversary-vow renewal-celebration-ceremony with my best friend.
  7. Lavish my loved ones with continual encouragement and unconditional love.
  8. Omit anything and everything from my life that could prevent me from accomplishing these goals.
That should just about do it...what does 2012 look like for you?
